Dan Deciechi, DVM

Dan Deciechi, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Deciechi is a family practice veterinarian who also has extensive emergency/critical care experience. He earned his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering in the U.S. Naval Academy and served 9 years as a Naval Officer. During his naval education, Dr. Deciechi pursued scientific interests including orbital science and physics. He spent time with Naval special warfare, after which he served as a college physics instructor during his final tour in the Navy. After leaving the Navy, he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. He immediately pursued veterinary practice ownership and purchased his first veterinary practice 12 months after completion of veterinary school. Emergency surgical procedures and novel pharmaceutical developments were specific interests during practice ownership. After serving as the Medical Director for emergency veterinary practices for 10 years, he decided to return to family practice. He is a member of the AVMA and MVMA and considers fly-fishing, soccer and rugby among his favorite activities.

Janet K. Lonaker, DVM

Janet K. Lonaker, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Lonaker was born and raised in Kettering, OH. She received a Bachelors in Science in Zoology from Ohio State University and graduated in 1991 with her D.V.M Degree from Ohio State University as well. She moved to Michigan after graduation, she has worked for Fohey Veterinary Hospital since 2009. Dr. Lonaker is a member of AVMA, MVMA, as well as SVVMA. When Dr. Lonaker gets a free moment from work she enjoys golfing with her husband, traveling, and sports events, especially football and baseball. Go Buckeyes!

Kurt Kiessling, DVM

Kurt Kiessling, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Kurt graduated from Michigan State University in 1993 with his DVM. He previously worked as a house call veterinarian providing care for both large and small animals. Dr. Kurt has a 20 acre hobby farm that he tends to with a wide variety of animals. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 7 children. One of his favorite family traditions is pizza night every Friday.

Practice Manager / Veterinary Technician

Cord Joined our team in May of 2018 as a Technician. He has gained valuable experience working at several daytime Veterinary practices in the area as well as out of state for the past 9 years. He has also worked in the Animal Neurology field. Prior to that, he worked with small animals in a retail setting.

Assistant Manager/Veterinary Technician

Tricia joined our team as a receptionist in September of 2018. She has many years of customer service experience and enjoys working with the public. Tricia now works as a technician providing care and treatment of animals and the monitoring of animals during surgery. On her days off she enjoys doing crafts and spending time with her husband and son.

Receptionist / Veterinary Technician

Suzette is a graduate of the Veterinary Technology program at Baker College, earning her degree as a licensed veterinary technician in 2004. She has been working at Fohey Veterinary Hospital since June 2004.

Caleb

Technician Assistant

Caleb started working part time at Fohey in 2022, helping assist the doctors and techs in handling and the care of patients. He is currently enrolled in U of M- Flint with hopes of applying to vet school shortly. In his free time, Caleb enjoys going to the gym, and spending time with family and his girlfriend.

Technician Assistant

Katie started as a receptionist at Fohey in late 2021. She now works in the back as a tech assistant handling the animals. Katie enjoys making relationships with the animals and clients. On her days off, Katie enjoys spending time with her two children, three dogs and three cats.
